Omni Affordable Housing, Inc.’s Construction Career Readiness Program prepares individuals for entry-level employment and career advancement in the construction industry. Participants receive instruction in workplace safety, construction math, basic blueprint reading, proper use of tools and materials, jobsite expectations, teamwork, attendance, and professional conduct. The program also provides resume assistance, interview preparation, information about construction trades, and connections to apprenticeships, certifications, employers, and workforce resources. When available, participants may gain supervised experience through Omni’s affordable housing projects. The program prioritizes veterans, women, young adults, displaced workers, and residents of underserved communities while helping develop the skilled workforce needed to build more affordable homes.
